Year for Priests

19th June 2009 to June 19th 2010

Pope Benedict XVI has declared a 'Year for Priests' which began on 19th June 2009 with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and which will conclude in Rome on June 19th 2010 with Pope Benedict presiding at a 'World Meeting of Priests' in St. Peter's Square. During the course of the year, Pope Benedict will proclaim St. Jean Marie Vianney as the patron saint of all the priests of the World.
